Buskers – The Blog

If you stop and think about it, you will see that street performers are just like everyone else. All they are trying to do is use their talent in order to make a living. Granted this is not a conventional way of starting out in life but it is a very useful one.  You might often find that you fall in the category of people who often stop and stare.

While admittedly you will find that some of the street performers are rather boring, there are others who really make an effort. This is your chance to practise empathy. If you think about it, there are many things that a street performer has to be. It is hard to put yourself forward for criticism.

It is therefore a more considerate approach to appreciate what people have to offer and then pay them accordingly. When you have empathy you are able to see things from the point of view of the performer. Imagine how many emotions they have to overcome in order to feel appreciated.

They are putting themselves in your hands and it is only fair to treat them with the same respect that you would expect. Image working for charity and never being paid for your contribution, how would that make you feel?

Appreciation of talent

It often seems that all we do is rush about and that is a why you need to stop and smell the flowers. In this context you need to have eyes and ears for street performers. The buskers are trying their best to make some form of living albeit temporary.

If you are often stuck in your world of stress and worry you might find it hard to actually pay attention to what is in front of you. You will be able to simply enjoy what your fellow human beings have to offer in terms of talent. So when you are feeling blue take a minute to absorb what is in front of you.

You will be amazed at what the street performers can bring to your life in regards to a form of escapism.  When you find talent right in front of you, think about them for a minute and you find it easier to make your donation. There is no need for you to simply walk away from a good act. Immerse yourself and you will find that buskers do have something to offer that is very different.
